Barcelona Series: Arena, Sol y el Mar

These pictures were taken in the small but very beautiful town of Sitges, not far from Barcelona. Since I had the big hair at the time, I decided to draw my outfit inspiration from Solange Knowles, who is known for her love of bold prints. She is so care free and never shies away from expressing herself through her fashion, so I was like why not!?. I decided to keep it simple for a casual stroll along the beach.

Barcelona series: The sunshine fills my hair.

So it has been a while since my last blog post. In my defence I've been very busy with studying for my final year and working at the same time. It's very hard to try and find a balance but I'm learning. So over the Christmas period the family and I decided to go in search of some winter sun in Barcelona. Although it wasn't hot the weather was great during the day. Over the next couple of weeks I'll be posting my holiday outfits pictures taken by my photographer Pamela Dube. So stay tuned for more.

The post below is just a nice simple light outfit! People that know me know that I love light colours and wearing colour on colour to create a seamless look.

I really really love simplicity, to just have little going on is enough. Less is more (so they say).  I wore this outfit to a stylist event in Shoreditch were I met very lovely and inspiring individuals.

Stylist network event

I was invited to a stylist network event in Shoreditch recently. Admittedly, I was a bit apprehensive about attending the event, as I have never been to any similar kind of events before. I didn't know what to expect and what it would be like at all. However, I find myself at a point in my life where I am encouraging myself to be bolder and try new things. In the words of Nate  Berkus “You will enrich your life immeasurably if you approach it with a sense of wonder and discovery, and always challenge yourself to try new things”. So I went, and how glad I am that I did.

This event opened up a whole new world for me and at the perfect time to be honest as I am starting to have an interest and a passion for beauty, fashion and photography. I met such kind and inspiring people who are really passionate and working towards their goals in the fashion industry. There were many bloggers, stylists, photographers and even magazine companies. It was an extraordinary atmosphere to be in, where people were very supportive and helpful. I will definitely be attending more events like this!

Below are a few pictures I took to show you what the studio looked like (Very beautiful) and a few of the people that attended the event.
